MERCEDES GP - Silver Arrows Miss Their Target
Widely regarded as contenders for race wins and a possible championship challenge on their entry into Formula One for 2010, it's fair to say Mercedes GP have fallen way short of expectations.
This very team had just claimed 2 amazing championships in the guise of Brawn GP in 2009 and the thinking was that with the power of a major manufacturer behind it, the team would be well placed to continue to challenge.
It hasn't turned out that way though. The successful Brawn car, which had enjoyed such a headstart as the team had got the jump on everyone following the major regulation changes of 2009, found themselves overtaken and outclassed as the big teams caught up
